City Clerk / Treasurer
The City Clerk is the custodian of the City Seal and all City records. The City Clerk is responsible for the preservation of all city records, licenses, resolutions, and related documents. The Clerk City prepares and distributes City Council agendas and information packets, as well as attends City Council meetings, taking and prepares minutes. The City Clerk is responsible for maintaining and updating of City ordinances and municipal code. The City Clerk supervise the administration of dog licensing; prepares and administers licensing for liquors, catering permits, and fireworks permits; prepares, maintains, and administers Airport hangar leases, billing, and related records; and is responsible for the maintenance of accurate records on all Cemetery records; including maintaining record of plots sales, burials, lot number, etc. The City Clerk also oversees monthly water and wastewater monitoring is performed as required by regulatory agencies.
The Treasurer maintains the general ledger and manages accounts payable and payroll for all city departments. The Treasurer provides a monthly reporting to all city departments. The Treasurer is responsible for the develop, implement, and administering the City’s annual budget. The treasurer supervises cash-handling, deposits, and reconciliation functions.
The Treasurer oversees the billing of the City Utility services. Utility Bills go out approximately the last day of each month and payments are due by the 10th of the following month. City of Cascade accepts cash, check, and auto-pay at no additional charge. Credit cards (Visa & MasterCard only) are accepted, a $3.50 convenience fee is charged for the use of the credit card. Utility payments can be made online and at City Hall during business hours, or after hours in the drop box located at 105 South Main Street, Cascade, Idaho 83611.
