Overview
The Cascade Airport is located 85 miles north of Boise Airport (BOI); 35 miles south of McCall Airport (MYL). Friendly service, great fuel prices, and a courtesy car!
Cascade Airport became operational as a basic dirt/grass strip in June 1949. Encompassing 75 acres, the airport is located two miles SE of the city of Cascade along State Highway 55, has 24 tie-downs and 37 hangars, and averages 8,000–9,000 operations per year. For nearly 40 years now, the U.S. Mail has been delivered weekly to back-country areas via airplane from Cascade Airport – the last such airmail route in the Lower 48 States.
