Public Works Streets
Overview
Roads, Streets, and Bridges
This division of City of Cascade Public Works is responsible for all maintenance performed on City streets, including grading of dirt roads, dust abatement, street sweeping, snow removal, sanding, pothole repair, chip sealing, signing, pavement marking, and shoulder maintenance.
The streets division also maintains City storm water infrastructure, including ditches, culverts, and storm drainage piping. Our City crew coordinate and often work in conjunction with the contracted City Engineer, and the Idaho Transportation Department (“ITD”) on special projects. Stormwater infiltration projects are funded by professional budget management as well as grant funding.
The City’s Code Enforcement Official also plays a role ensuring that vehicles and equipment are parked within lot lines and not on city streets to allow for safe maintenance and access by residents and visitors alike.
